The
Planning Commission consists of seven members and two alternates. Alternates
participate in all issue discussions, but may only vote when a regular member is absent
from the meeting.
The
Commission focuses on land use issues that arise within the City limits. Commission
members have the powers and duties given planning agencies as provided in Minnesota
Statutes 462l-351 et seq. The Commission also exercises the duties conferred upon it by the
City Code including the Zoning Title and by the Council.
The
Planning Commission meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month, at
7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Agendas are available at City Hall, 6000 McColl
Drive, Savage, on the Tuesday prior to the meeting.
