The City of Savage
Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer-based system
used for geographic data creation, maintenance, storage, analysis
and mapping. Features that are commonly
found on hard copy maps, such as buildings, roads, contours etc., can be
drawn and displayed on a computer screen. The system is implemented by the Communications
Department, providing service to citizens as well as many City of Savage departments.
