The City of Savage Police Department is a community policing based organization that offers several programs for its citizens aimed at reducing crime, providing information, and improving the overall standard of living in the City of Savage.

The Savage Police Department offers businesses programs such as Crime Free Multi-Housing, Crime Alert Network, Business Registry and Building Security Checks.

For homeowners, programs offered include Operation Identification, Home Survey Checks, and Neighborhood Watch.

Community Policing based programs include Crime Prevention, and Speed Reduction.

The uniform patrol division patrols the city streets always looking to keep the city safe from traffic violations, accidents and criminal activity. The Patrol division consists of marked squad cars, traffic car, and a crime scene unit.

The Detective Division does follow-up generated by police calls and police activity. This division also handles most of the Family Offense crimes, which include neglect, sexual assault and child abuse cases.

The Savage Police Department also has programs that focus on the youth of the city such as our School Resource Officer program.
