These are the only hours that report requests or permits will be processed. Phone number is 952.882.2600. Information Disclosure Request   Click this link for a .pdf file of the form needed to submit to the police department for information/report requests. This request form may be printed out and mailed to the Savage Police Department with the proper fee, or hand-delivered. The mailing address is:  Savage Police Department, 6000 McColl Drive, Savage, MN  55378. Gun Permits:  Application forms for permits to purchase firearms can be picked up during office hours or can be mailed upon request. Firearm applications can also be obtained at www.dps.state.mn.us/bca/forms/documents/form-intro.html.  Applicant is notified of approval or denial after the background investigation is completed. Please allow seven working days.  Permits to carry firearms must be applied for at the Scott County Sheriffs Office.    Property:  Lost/Found/Recovered properties are released by appointment only. Call 952.882.2600 and ask for a Property Technician to make an appointment to release property. Traffic Tickets:  Fines for traffic tickets are to be paid at the Scott County Courthouse. To request a change in court date, or other information concerning tickets, contact Court Administration at 952.496.8200. FEES FOR REPORT/INFORMATION REQUESTS . Accident Reports:  $0.25 per page. The report written by the Police Officer, which is registered with the state, can be released to drivers of the vehicles, passengers, vehicle owners, damaged property owners, or insurance carriers. A state accident report is written only if the combined damage of the accident is over $1,000. In addition to the officer's report, the State requires the drivers to complete and mail a form to the state within 10 days of the accident. These forms are free of charge and are available during business hours.  State accident reports can also be electronically submitted to the state at http://www.dps.state.mn.us/dvs.   Whenever possible, the officer fills out an Exchange Sheet to aid the drivers in filling out their state forms. Arrest Reports:  Persons wishing copies of arrest reports are referred to the prosecuting attorney. The City Attorney (Scott Joint Prosecution Assn.) prosecutes petty misdemeanors, misdemeanors and gross misdemeanor violations. The Scott County Attorney Office prosecutes felony violations and all juvenile offenders. Their phone number is 952.496.8240. Incident/Case Reports:  $0.25 per page with additional costs for requests of more than 100 pages. Inactive case reports may be released to the general public. Reports that are still under investigation will not be released until the investigation is completed. Drivers License Records:  $3 Savage residents. $5 for non-residents. A printout of a Minnesota driving record may be obtained (by the Minnesota Driver License owner only) by presenting their picture driver license or other identification. Statistical Reports:  $0.25 per page with additional costs for requests of more than 100 pages. CDs/Audio/Photos:  $10.00 per CD. VHS Tapes:  $30.00 per tape.
