Residents of the City of Savage are served by two public transportation entities: the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) and Scott County Transportation.

The MVTA runs express bus service to Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington and Edina. It also offers the guaranteed ride home program, dial-a-ride service, vanpools, carpool matching and bike information. Local all-day service is provided throughout the southern suburbs.

Information on fares, schedules, routes, dial-a-ride and park-and-ride locations can be found at the MVTA web site.

The MVTA also has a 24-hour information line, which is at 952.882.7500.

Residents are also served by Scott County Transportation. This service provides transport by mini-bus every Monday afternoon for shopping and business errands within Savage. Rides on other days and to different Scott County destinations may also be scheduled in advance.

Medical transportation is scheduled on a pre-arranged basis. There is a charge for this service.

Reservations can be made by calling 952.496.8341.
