Neighbors knowing neighbors is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime. Residents are encouraged to join this national celebration and schedule block parties, cookouts, or events to just get to know one another and promote community safety. Gatherings can be as elaborate or as simple as you like! During Night to Unite, groups from Savage Police, Fire Department, Public Works, and other local officials will visit as many registered parties as possible between 5:30 - 8 p.m.
- The 5 largest parties to register will get a special visit from Police, Fire, and Public Works! To help grow your gathering, consider inviting a block that doesn’t have their own neighborhood party or combine several block gatherings into a larger celebration.
- One lucky registered party will be drawn for a sweet and salty gift basket provided by the Savage Crime Prevention Association.
All parties must be registered by Wednesday, July 17. Donations for school supplies, non-perishable food items, and diapers will be collected during your event or can be dropped off at the Savage Police Department by August 6 for local distribution.
