Crime Free Multi-Housing Program logoThe Crime Free Multi-Housing Program (CFMH) is a pro-property manager, pro-resident, anti-crime program designed to make multi-family dwellings safe and desirable places to live. The CFMH program provides a partnership between police and local property owners/managers to foster a safe, healthy and crime free community in rental housing. Currently, over 75 cities in Minnesota, 38 states and 3 providences in Canada are part of the program. The Savage Police Department implemented the CFMH program in 2000. There are currently 16 properties in the City of Savage that are active in the program.

The program uses a unique three-phase approach that ensures resident-friendly techniques will be applied to maintain crime prevention goals. All three phases of the program must be met before the complex/property can be certified as a Crime-Free Multi-Housing Property. Once the complex/property is certified, the management will be granted the use of the program logo in all advertisements.
