In person, mail, email or fax request

Print the Police Public Data Request form (pdf) and  mail, email, fax or bring the form to the Savage Police Department: 

To request in person, Police Department lobby hours are Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  You may also call 952-882-2600 and the form can be emailed, mailed or faxed to you. Please allow up to ten days for the report to be processed. We will call you when your report is ready. A small fee may apply.

Minnesota Data Practices Act

The Savage Police Department strictly adheres to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, which classifies data as public, private and/or confidential. You may be asked to provide picture identification and/or written authorization from the parties involved in order to get a report.

NOTE:  You may be required to pay the actual cost of making, certifying and/or compiling the copies of data requested.

Private data on individuals:  After you have been shown the data and informed of its meaning, the data need not be disclosed to you for six months unless a dispute or action is pending or additional data on you has been collected.
