The annual Toys for Tots drive is underway, and kids are invited to personally deliver their donated gift to Santa. Gift bearers will be able to drive through the Police garage to meet Santa and Savage Police Chief Brady Juell while donating gifts to Toys for Tots. Interested individuals should bring their new, unwrapped toy with them to the north entrance of the Police Department parking lot (signs will be posted). A volunteer will direct them into the garage where they will have time to take a photograph with Santa and Chief Juell. (Be sure to bring a camera.)
Those unable to attend Santa Cop Night may still participate in Toys for Tots by bringing their donation to the Savage Police Department between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning November 18 through December 13. A collection box will be in the Police Department lobby.
The Savage Police Department annually partners with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and other law enforcement agencies to ensure children in need experience the joy of Christmas. Police Officers from Savage will deliver the donated toys to KARE-11 studios – the central collection point for the Minnesota Toys for Tots event.
