Savage Fire responds to fire at Road Machinery and Supplies (RMS).

 On May 5, 2023, at 1:39 a.m. Savage Fire Department responded to an outside fire at Road Machinery and Supply (RMS), 12520 Quentin Avenue, in Savage, involving multiple construction lifts containing diesel fuel. Upon arrival, Savage Fire, with mutual aid from the Mdewakanton Fire Department, quickly controlled the fire, containing the damage to the area of origin. Due to the quantity of diesel fuel involved with the incident, the EPA was notified, along with the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office. Savage Assistant Chief Fire Marshal John Burrow will work with the State Fire Marshal to determine the cause. Currently, no damage estimate is available.
