K9 Marshall

K9 Marshall

Marshall is a Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) K9 that will provide emotional well-being, help reduce stress levels, assist with community events, and community risk reduction. He will provide overall mental health and wellness support for the Fire Department, Savage Police Department, City of Savage staff, and residents of Savage.

K9 Marshall comes to us from Texas, where he was trained by K9's For Freedom & Independence, a non-profit that takes shelter, rescued, and donated purebred dogs and turns them into Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) K9's for law enforcement and first responder agencies. A generous donation from the Burnsville Savage Lions provided the funds to cover the cost of transporting Marshall, training for his handler, and needed supplies.
